i_siteimage8Huffer Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) offers services for families that are designed to equip families with the information they need to make informed choices about early care and education for their young children. Personalized, free child care referrals to legally operating child care providers are supplied promptly, usually within 48 hours of the request. Child care referrals from Huffer CCR&R are comprehensive and are accompanied by child-age specific resources and an interview checklist to assist in identifying high quality care.

Huffer CCR&R employs a full-time Outreach Specialist to assist families seeking child care. In order to customize your child care referrals, we need to understand the criteria being used to make your selection, such as desired location and hours. You may share this information with our Outreach Specialist by phoning or by stopping by the Huffer CCR&R office in person. The Huffer CCR&R Outreach Specialist can also provide you with information about the Earned Income Tax Credit, Paths QUALITY, finding help paying for child care, and other community resources. And comparing quality among the options can be overwhelming. Huffer CCR&R provides free, personalized referrals to legally operating care. Child care referrals from Huffer CCR&R are based on Paths to QUALITY, Indiana’s child care rating system, giving you an easy-to-use to tool to help you simplify your search for child care and find the best quality care for your child.

Families with infants and toddlers and families with children who have special needs face additional and unique challenges, especially when looking for child care. Huffer CCR&R provides specialized support for families facing these challenges. Upon request, our highly trained Outreach Specialists will enhance your child care referral service by making calls to verify vacancies, further saving you valuable time and energy. Our Inclusion Specialist is here to assist you with ensuring an inclusive, healthy and positive child care experience for your child with (or without) special needs. Through the Indiana Partnership for Inclusive Child Care, our Inclusion Specialist offers free consultation, resources and assistance for families seeking inclusive child care. Likewise, through Better Baby Care Indiana, our Infant and Toddler Specialist provides free consultation, resources and assistance for families with children under the age of three.
