The
CCR&R Resource Van delivers a vast array of educational
materials from its "Early Learners Collection."
We
understand that increasing numbers of children are spending long
hours in child care settings outside the home. This creates a
social responsibility to ensure that all children are in
environments which promote optimal development.
Early
brain and new scientific research shows that brain development
before the age of one is more rapid and extensive than
previously realized. Also, that brain development is more
vulnerable to environmental influence than suspected. Research
shows that the influence of the early environment is long
lasting. Because of the above reasons we have the following
objectives:
 |
To support and strengthen
the child care delivery system in our service delivery area
by providing accessibility and promoting usage of the
materials in the "Early Learners Collection" now located at
the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency. These materials
include training materials for child care providers,
developmentally appropriate toys, curriculum resources,
resources relating to development and guidance of the young
child for parents and professionals, and administrative
materials for program directors and managers.
|
 |
To support and strengthen
the child care delivery system in our service delivery area
by providing training through workshops and on an individual
basis to meet the unique needs of child care providers.
Also, to facilitate enrollment in credited child care
training programs.
